Our treatment services are evidence-based, flexible, and personalized to assist you with making the changes you desire. Treatment is a collaborative process; while we may provide clinical insight and guidance, we recognize that you are the expert in your experience. Through discussions and therapeutic activities, treatment may assist you with understanding emotional patterns that are negatively affecting your life, developing skills to manage stress or other symptoms, improve your relationships, and/or clarifying the direction you want to take to reach your goals.

Approaches

Our clinicians are trained in a variety of evidence-based approaches; however, we also recognize that “manualized” approaches to treatment are not always a perfect fit. We value our clients’ individuality and adjust treatment to fit each person according to their abilities, preferences, and goals.

Treatment approaches we offer include:

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
  • Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
  • Mindfulness-Integrated CBT (MiCBT)
  • Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR)
  • Exposure-based therapies (e.g., Prolonged Exposure)
  • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR-informed approaches)
  • Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFT)
  • Dialectial Behaviour Therapy (DBT)

  • Interpersonal and experiential therapies

Treatment may be provided virtually, in person, or by phone. We will work with you to find an approach that fits.

Treatment Fees

Treatment fees are based on a set hourly service rate determined individually by each clinician; however, sliding scale fees may be available.

A standard treatment session is typically 50 minutes (with the final 10 minutes reserved to complete clinical documentation).

Private psychological services are not currently covered by OHIP; however, if you have access to extended health insurance through your workplace, a spouse, or a family member, your plan may cover some or all of your treatment costs.
