Psychological Assessment

Psychological Assessment

A Psychological Assessment (sometimes called a “psychodiagnostic assessment”) can clarify the mental health symptoms, emotional distress, and interpersonal patterns that interfere with your goals and daily functioning. Through a combination of in-depth exploratory interviews and the use of psychological measures, a Psychological Assessment can help you develop a more cohesive understanding yourself, your relationships, and your circumstances.

As with all of our assessment services, a Psychological Assessment will result in a report for you that outlines any relevant diagnoses, an explanation of your challenges, and helpful recommendations for next steps.

A Psychological Assessment evaluates the full range of mental health functioning and disorder, including conditions related to Depression, Anxiety, Trauma, Bipolar Disorder, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Psychosis, and more.

A Psychological Assessment typically includes the following (though the actual scope of services will be determined collaboratively):

  • Clinical Interview(s) – 2.5 hours, in person or virtual

  • Completion of psychological questionnaires- in person or virtual

  • Review of medical/mental health records (as available and needed)

  • Collateral interview with spouses/parents (as authorized and needed)

  • Assessment report preparation

  • Feedback meeting to review the assessment outcomes

If you are interested in learning more about how a Psychological Assessment may fit your needs, please contact us. We will be happy to speak with you about our services and what may be most practical and helpful.
