Neurodevelopmental Assessment
A Neurodevelopmental Assessment is often sought when individuals have questions about neurodiversity. More specifically, many adults seek a Neurodevelopmental Assessment when they suspect that they may have lived with undiagnosed ADHD (Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder) or ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) throughout their life, and that these fundamental differences may have impacted their outlook and functioning. Less frequently, but just as important, some individuals seek a Neurodevelopmental Assessment to learn more about giftedness and how their strengths and challenges may relate to understanding the world differently than others.
Just as neurodivergence/neurodiversity can manifest in many different ways, a Neurodevelopmental Assessment can take different forms depending on the person, their questions, and other clinical considerations. A Neurodevelopmental Assessment may be arranged as either a Psychological Assessment, Psychoeducational Assesssment, or Neuropsychological Assessment with a special focus on neurodiversity.
As with all of our assessment services, a Neurodevelopmental Assessment will result in a report for you that outlines any relevant diagnoses, an explanation of your challenges, and helpful recommendations for your next steps.
If you are interested in learning more about how a Neurodevelopmental Assessment may fit your needs, please contact us. We will be happy to speak with you about our services and what may be most practical and helpful.
